Region 7A Community Service 2024 Volunteers of the Year

Members of NCRSP-Region 7A
met at Hitching Post Restaurant, Williamston, recently. Director Vivian Branch recognized the hard work of the membership throughout the year.
Volunteers of the year from each local were presented with a Certificate and Mary Williams, Edgecombe-Nash, was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year for Region 7A. Other Committees reported on their work including Membership (Laurette Lewis), Memorials (Juli Perkins), Convention Planning (Nell Burwell), Community Participation, Communications (Gloria Outlaw), Quality of Life (Betsy Wallace).
Legislative (PAC) Chair, Dorsey Harris stated that the goal for PAC donations from 7A was $1500 and we went above and beyond our expectations. He gave NCRSP Clocks to units with the most participation. Those locals included Edgecombe-Nash, Edenton-Chowan, and Gates. Dorsey volunteered to be the Activist for 7A. Training for activists, legislative chairs, and presidents will be held December 1st Virtually. The time will be determined later and Director Branch will send the information to all participants.
Each local president received a packet of updates along with Christmas Cards to be mailed to the members. They also received a “Thank You” bag full of goodies. Director Branch was pleased with the participation and the attendance.
